Our adult counselling service offers a safe, supportive space to talk, reflect, and begin to make sense of what you're going through. Our experienced counsellors tailor their approach to meet your individual needs, helping you gain clarity, build resilience, and take steps toward positive change.

Adult Counselling Service


Life can feel overwhelming at times, and reaching out for support is a courageous first step. At APS, we offer a safe, non-judgemental space where you can talk openly, explore your thoughts and feelings, and begin to make sense of what’s going on for you. Whether you're facing anxiety, low mood, grief, or simply feeling stuck, our counsellors are here to walk alongside you with empathy and understanding.



 We offer one-to-one counselling for:


  • Autistic and Neurodivergent Adults
  • Parents, carers and family members of autistic or neurodivergent individuals

       (You don't have to be a member of APS)



 Our Approach


  • Person-centred and respectful
  • Tailored to meet each client's unique needs



 Session Details


  • Initial block of 6 sessions, each lasting 50 minutes
  • Additional sessions available if further support is needed
  • Flexible modality: choose from in-person (in Northwich), telephone, or online
  • Sessions are typically weekly, but bi-weekly options are available



 Referral Process


  • Once a referral is received, the client (or referrer) completes an Adult Assessment Form
  • Support is available for anyone who needs help completing the form

  • To provide support in a way that works best for you — accessible, flexible, and personalised.




Pricing


Standard counselling session: 50 minutes

Format: In–person or online via teams

Focus Areas: The client works towards the therapeutic goals identified during the introductory session, which may include areas such as anxiety, self-esteem, emotional regulation, behavioural challenges, family transitions, and more.


The pricing for our 1-2-1 counselling per session for adults are as follows:
